A couple of photos from a very hot weekend.... congrats to all the racers and cornerworkers that survived the heat. Here's hoping for Tommy O to make a quick and complete recovery and congrats to Mel for the bump from novice! Spero clipping a cone on Saturday Close racing all weekend Close quarters entering Turn 6 Marbod was especially colourful The worm cam from Turn 1 Tyler was flying all weekend Tyler nearly flew here - tires were squealing as he nearly lowsided entering Turn 4 - but he saved it! Here's hoping for Tommy O to make a quick and complete recovery and congrats to Mel for the bump from novice! Thanx, Tony!.....Congrats also to Mel!..... Neck and jaw are sore, and the vertigo hasn't completely gone yet, but fortunately, I will make a full recovery!.... I'm not sure if I can take another whack to the head, so my season's done!....... I just want to really thank everyone for their concern and support!.....I would also like to say a special word of Thanx to that sweet Siren racer Michelle, who drove to the Abbotsford Hospital and waited patiently and then gave me a ride back to the track!.....Race people certainly are the best when it comes down to it!.... Great shot of Tyler, Tony......Wish I could've saved mine!..... I'll most likely see everyone for the final rounds, but most likely from the Marshall's view at T6 with my good buddy Blair!..... It's where my racing career started from 3 years ago, and it's as good a place as any to finish up!..... Cheers, Everyone!........
Awesome news that you are mostly OK, and mad props to Michelle. Good luck with the vertigo. Mine never went away, but I became habituated, so now it is just background noise. Bout a year for me till I didn't think about it any more. Hope you don't have to wait that long.
Tom, thanks for the congrats, and I'm sorry I wasn't aware of what had happened to you that day (hid under the EZUp in our pit when I wasn't on the track so I saw little of the other races). So sorry to hear about your fall and I hope you're feeling much better soon. I would be sad if this is the end of your racing, but I know there are lots of life factors to consider and you have to make the best choice for yourself. Take care and good to hear that you'll be out there cornerworking if not on the track yourself.
