Please go to Motorsport Reg to update your profile, finish up your bio, list your sponsors, get your new bike and transponder information in there. Jay Tait has offered to assist anyone needing some guidance in promoting yourself to sponsors, and building your race program. If you are interested in this, please contact Jay at wmrcpromotions@gmail.com Jay would also encourage you to contact your local community paper with your brief bio and some photos. Tell them about what you do, where you live, and give them a 200 word blurb on your racing hobby. Reminder to order up your WMRC shirts/hoodies! We are in the process of trying to set up a menu in MSR for ease of ordering. New Business: You must purchase your race license ASAP! If you have not yet submitted your 2018 application and payment your race number is up for grabs. Please contact Pam Black for your forms, and once your license is purchased, be sure to go into MSR to update your account. A reminder to racers who plan to attend the May 18th Racer Track Day, you MUST register for this through MSR!!!! Allan Hay announced that Race School is sold out for the May session!! Please be sure to review the 2018 Rulebook. There have been changes made to tech requirements for helmets and oil filters, among other things. There was discussion regarding our current bank balance and the cost of racing. We have been blessed with larger grids and great weather over the past couple of years which has helped us become more financially stable, however, reducing race fees is not an option at this time. We are in a position to take steps to protect the club’s sustainability by creating the contingency fund, and we are also looking ahead to some costly maintenance and improvements. There are things that have fallen into disrepair during the “lean” years, such as the air fence, currently being repaired. In addition, we are in need of a new (to us) crash truck, computers, and various other operational items. We are also anticipating the future need to replace the paving in turns 7-9. This cost will likely be our responsibility as the cars do not use this section of the track. Please be reminded that our Hay Bale Party is April 29th, and rumor has it that there will be donuts! Please come help out so we can get this done as quickly as possible. Thank you to Arnaud for the donation of a laptop! We are always in need and happy to take your working laptops and monitors! Jeremy Karlson motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:50, seconded by Marc Perrot
