Promotions: Brian was unable to attend and provided his update to Jason Hanson who advised of promotion's plans to visit shops and businesses prior to our July rounds. Brian requested that members post their photos on Instagram and tag the WMRC, and/or post photos with links to our website and Instagram accounts. Please use your own photos and not photos you have purchased from a professional photographer. There are further plans in motion to come up with some trophies for certain rounds, more on that to follow. Also of note is the Tri Round for the 250’s between us, OMRRA and WMRRA so please update your sponsor bios so we can forward those as well. We are also starting to promote the Endurance Race, with Registration for that to be open soon. Thank you to Highroad BMW/Ducati for providing us with the cheque for the upcoming track day session. Highroad will also be hosting a barbecue in the pits that day so be sure to thank Kelly for their continued support of the WMRC! New Business: Thank you to all the volunteers, marshals and operations staff for their hard work during our May rounds. Six days over 2 consecutive weekends was a lot, and we had some challenges, but everyone really pulled together professionally as a team. Turnout for our rain race was not great and it is important to note that there is the same amount of work, staffing, and cost put into every day, regardless of the number of bikes on track. Thanks again to everyone for your hard work and dedication! We would like to send our well wishes for speedy, and full recoveries to the injured riders and hope to see you back in the pits soon. We are planning 60th Anniversary celebrations for this season, and will be announcing some special events to take place on the same day as our annual Track Walk with Bernie and the Star Light Foundation. International Motorsports has generously offered a $20 tire swap for WMRC members. Tires and wheels must be off the bike, and the offer is for a $20 swap on race tires only. Many thanks to International Motorsports for the considerable deal. Registration is open for the July rounds, please register ASAP! If you need to rent a transponder for our upcoming rounds, please note that the cost is $30, cash only, and that they will be made available at registration by the SCCBC. There are a limited number available, and are first come, first served, so be quick to registration to avoid disappointment! We did have some issues with “racer owned” X2 transponders at the first rounds. Please be sure to update your firmware by plugging your transponder into your computer prior to every race round to be sure you are up to date! Thank you to Arnaud Gouttin for the great job painting our containers. The process was quick and painless, and earned us some thanks and appreciation from the car club. Jay Shapka has volunteered to provide a “drop box” of certain supplies for new racers who may not yet be familiar with our rule book. Jay has offered to facilitate this and to take care of the supplies. Everyone is politely reminded to be sure to settle their tab before leaving the meeting place! We are fortunate to have access to a free meeting room with food and beverages provided to us, and we do not want to jeopardize our welcome! The meeting was adjourned at 7:45, at a length of 42 minutes and 10 seconds, still well beyond the standing record set by Jeremy “Hot” Karlson in March, 2019. Motion to adjourn was seconded by Allan Hay Minutes submitted by Pam Black.
