What got you into racing? For me it was a whole series of events. It all started when I went for a ride to the Sunshine coast with a few guys from BCSB about 4 years ago. On that ride, yes I was riding with "hooligans" who where all on 1000 cc bikes and me on my cbr 600 f4. Trying to keep up with them (yeah yeah I know) I pushed myself over the edge and got spooked in a turn and target fixation @.@ I went off the road into g ravel where I was able to stop safely. But I was really freaked out. I looked back at the turn and said to myself. "Why am I riding like this? And this turn is HUGE why did I panic? But I made it home and decided to take WCSS's ART course. I signed up for it the next day for the ART course and was in the classroom in a month. Even after the classroom I was Excited. But the day finally came (I bought Leathers just for the ART course) the course was amazing AND it was in the RAIN! I just loved it. I loved hanging off the bike, I loved the no ped's, cars, cops, signs, ECT... I completed the course sore and with a dumb guy grin. Then the track days started. I started signing up for track days at mission. OMG I still remember my first time on Mission exiting pit lane into T1 "OMG this turn is TIGHT!" So track days came and went gaining experience and knowledge. Then I started coming out to the race days and corner marshalling. Omg what a rush I'm suppressed we don?t have to turn people away for that! But I did that for 3 years while attending the track days. All the while my racing bug was growing bigger and bigger. Then about 2 years ago I took the racer training, passed and got my race licence. Best ,and most expensive, decision I have ever made. Now here I am I just broke into the teens for my lap time and honestly racing is the most fun I have had ANYWHERE EVER! (Except my first date with my fianc? at Disneyland >.>) So what?s everyone else?s story?
