Not everyone is rich or has a flexible boss. I thought we beat this to death last year that not having a practice to get everyone's focus on, cobwebs out, up to speed could cause alot of damage and red flags???????? You gotta remember most of us haven't hit the track since the last race of 2009, and Mission isn't exactly a forgiving track.
Without beating this to death, we brought this up at past meetings, with our race officials and with the other clubs. We have to work with what we are given, and this was the only way this year. Before this decision was made, it was discussed with our referee, race director, and safety coordinator, as well as your elected Executive. There have also been votes about racing vs practice at the club meetings and it was voted that races trump practices by the members themselves. At any rate, it is what it is this year, and next year we will certainly try to make our first day a practice.
