I don't really miss the old days, but i do miss some aspects.. smoking tires! stupid traction control.. Motogp is still fun to watch but it looks too much like parade laps these days.
Yeah, a few years there, MotoGP was so boring to watch, bikes never got out of control, even with Rossi going all out, I do miss open roads, no traffic or congestion, houses with property, being able to ride a dirtbike almost anywhere, etc,
When bikes were bikes? No cams? Powerbands that came on like a switch? The smell of pre-mix being burned up? And racing was not such a huge business? Yes, I miss those days. You look at some of those 80's 500GP videos, and they went from track to track in a van, and pitted in an Easy-Up, certainly not making millions... But fear not, those machines we grew up with are on their way back. There's a few of us working late nights in the garage, putting together two-strokers. Coming to a racetrack near you in the not so distant future... Rumour has it, there will be a few "vintage" RZ's in Mission this weekend, with more neat stuff appearing throughout the season. cheers alex
