2nd Gen SV650 Case Covers

Bit of a stupid question here:

Do I need case covers on my 2nd Gen SV 650 for Mission?

And, It's not in the budget right now, but would I need them in Edmonton at Castrol?

I read the rule book and it suggests I don't need them, but I didn't think it would hurt to ask.

You don't need them at Mission on an SV650, but you need them for Castrol.
