Hey everyone, please take a couple of minutes to read about the changes we're making on track days this year. Clock-Based Sessions In order to make your day more predictable, we are changing to clock based sessions. An example schedule may start out like this: 09:00 - Group 1 (Slow Race) 09:15 - Group 2 (Fast Race) 09:30 - Group 3 (Slow Street) 09:45 - Group 4 (Fast Street) ... And repeats all day. So if you are in group 3, you know that you are on track between XX:30 and XX:45. No more fuzzy loudspeakers or missed calls! In order to keep a strict timetable like this, it means a few other things also have to happen: Crashes During Sessions This time table means that crashing may affect more than just the group they occur in. For example, a crash at 09:43 is going to end the session of the current group (group 3) and will shorten the session of the next group (group 4.) Group 4 will start when clean up is done, and end as scheduled, at 10:00. A crash that requires lengthy cleanup could result in a session being skipped. Bike pick-up will happen as time permits, such as at lunch or during other unscheduled breaks. The expected total track time will say roughly the same, as crashes should be evenly spread out across the groups. In the unlikely event you do see less track time, as has been the case in previous years, unfortunately there are still no partial refunds. Rider's Meeting To ensure we are able to keep to the above schedule, rider’s meeting will have to start on time. We are going to do our best to keep the meetings short, on point, and clear. You have to do your part and show up on time. If you miss morning rider’s meeting, you will not be allowed on track until you attend the lunch time rider’s meeting and there are no refunds for the sessions you miss as a result. Remember that the rider’s meeting is a requirement of our insurance company. We don't want to take your money and give you nothing in return, but there needs to be some form of accountability to ensure everyone acts in accordance with our insurance requirements. Questions or Comments This system is successful at many other tracks and clubs. This change will be challenging for both the riders and track staff, so we appreciate your cooperation. We do welcome your feedback, but please hold your hate mail until after we establish a flow and work out some bugs. Remember that no process is perfect, and nothing can improve without first trying something new. After we've had it going for a few days, let us know what you like or don't like about this system. Please feel free to share this with other groups or friends who may be interested. The more people we can reach to understand the schedule before they come to the track means we can get moving faster in those first few days. Just to confirm, if a crash occurs every session at :44 and takes 10mins to clear each time, then the following session will not have time adjusted at any point during the day?
