    Hi All-

I am wondering if the extra expense of replacing a rear shock, over just re-valving and re-shimming it, is worth it?

I am speaking of the Racetec parts with the rebound separator valve compared to a used Penske or Elka (or Ohlins, I guess). I guess I would be comparing 2 way shocks.

I put the Racetec kit in a shock last year, and was very happy with the results on the street (was a KYB shock).

From that experience, it seemed like the important bit was the valve and shim assembly. So if the Racetec valve is good, why spend the extra dough?

I am not looking for bling hydraulic ride height adjusters or anything.

    Thanks for any replies...

I had a my stock shock revalved and resprung at GP suspension and it is awesome, you don't have quite the quick adjustability as a 4 way but once you have it set you don't really adjust it anyway.
