Buy a bike and prepare it (if necessary) according the rulebook. Please refer to the general information in the rulebook starting on page 7 and also continue your reading to ensure that your bike meets the specific rules for the classes you intend to race it in. This information is contained within chapters 8-11.
Buy your gear. Your leathers, boots, hard shell back protector and gloves must all be in good condition. Please see our rulebook for more details. Note: Helmets must be of Snell 2015 or ECE.22-05 certification.
Take a race school. You must have taken WMRC accredited race school in the past 24 months to qualify you to buy a race license. We recommend our very own New Racer School.
Buy a transponder. In order to be timed during your races you’ll need to have an MyLAPS 260x or X2 transponder. Visit Bicknell Racing.
Join the club. Buy your membership/race license. (In 2018 graduated students of the WMRC New Racer School were able to apply for their race license for no extra charge!)
We always need corner workers and you will see what the club is like, meet people and watch the action from the best seat in the house.
Taste of Racing is held at lunch time on dry race days for free! These are parade laps on your street bike intended to give you a small taste of what racing with us could be like.
I’m interested but I have more questions… Come out to a WMRC General Meeting, everyone is welcome! Our meetings are typically held on the second Monday of every month. Check our website, forums and Facebook group for more information regarding the next meeting.
Contact us! General inquiries can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope to see you out!
