If you have a X2, Flex or TR2 transponder with subscription, you need to get busy for the upcoming weekend: Make sure your subscription is active (and doesn't expire in the next week or so). In addition, if you do renew your subscription, you still need to sync your Race Key with the Mylaps mothership so the Race Key knows your subscription is valid again. To ensure the functionality of your X2 Transponder, reactivate it periodically with the X2 RaceKey (at least once every 5 days). When the transponder is not reactivated, it will stop sending out its transponder number, and the subscription indicator light will flash red 5 times per second. Make sure the firmware is up-to-date. Make sure it's fully charged. If your X2, Flex or TR2 transponder is NOT the Car/Bike version (i.e. MX, RC or Kart), you will not be scored. The timing system will reject your times automatically. The only solution is for you to obtain a Car/Bike transponder. You can do all this through your Mylaps Connect app. If you have the old TranX260 transponder, your life is much less complicated. Just make sure it's fully charged before you head out to the track. For everyone, the maximum mounting height is 120 cm (4 ft.) for bikes. Clear view to the asphalt is critical. The lower on the fork tube the better.
Way too high tech Jones. What ever happened to the stop watch, the large piece of plexi glass and felt pen that you used to keep time for me with??? With this new tech, do riders get there lap times on the dash of their bikes in real time? That would have been the cats meow if we had that back in the day.
