just wondering if we can use clips for the brake caliper bolts and pinch bolts?

Hi Joe,

I have not seen these used on the brake caliper bolts or pinch bolts. I've only seen clips used in lieu of a cotter pin that would be used in securing the rear axle and crown nut. Looking at the video the brake caliper bolt clips look fairly loose for my liking. Safety wiring is way more simple, cheaper and also provides a tighter hold on bolts that may vibrate loose. Please see page 14 of our rule book for more details.

I just thought it would be easier to change wheels but it's all good to use full safety wire.

 

I personally use that on my race bike joe.....no issues at tech....and yes ease of changing of wheels...

anyone know what type of silicone we should use for the banjo bolts? would any silicone be sufficient?
