Can someone who has signed up for the WCSS racing course please PM me with the start time and location for the first session? I have signed up and paid but haven't been contacted yet. Thanks
According to the WCSS site 1st classroom session is April 12th starting at 7:00 pm. It does not list a location, but if I'm not mistaken it's being held at MSpeed performance (commercial north of Hastings) Maybe Marbod can confirm that.
Just got conformation of the time and place on Tuesday for the bike prep session. They say they still have a spot or two left if anyone is interested.
I think it would be great if the Westcoast guys offered a drop in price so that others who are already licensed racers or even as a refresher for track day guys. Lots of good advice on bike setup and bike prep
That was a lot of fun. Very special thanks to Gio for coming to my rescue after my bike decided not to come out and play today. See you all on Friday at the big track.
Clogged pilot jets. I thought I had cleaned them along with everything else but obviously I need more instruction on how to do it right. Burnaby Kawasaki was nice enough to fit the bike in on short notice and get it running for me so I can scrub in the tires and work out the handling on Friday. Don't ask about getting the bike there it was a bit of an adventure.
Ya, i hear ya, Burnaby Kawasaki bails me out all the time, mostly on zero notice. Can't beat this shop for customer service.
I'm new to the forum and would like to start racing this season. Does anyone know the specific course at wcss that is required for the novice class at wmrc? I am ready to sign up but I want to make sure I'm doing it for the right course.
It's called racer training for the track. You can find it here: http://www.westcoastsuperbikeschool.com/2012.php
Thanks for the info! Should I wait till Im done the course to apply for a wmrc membership? or is it better to apply earlier?
Did the dates for the WCSS Racer Training change from the dates posted on their website? I've read all the relevant forum postings but didn't see anything definitive about whether the school dates were altered. Also, will I need a dbcom transponder for the novice races? If yes how much to rent/buy and should I start looking now to buy a unit? Thanks, Steve
Yes the dates for Racer Training have also changed, Troy has the new dates, I'm sure they will be on the website soon. DBCom is recommended and useful for Novice, but not required. They are $50 to rent for the day, with a $250 deposit or we hold a CC number(not processed unless the unit is not returned at the end of the day) Keep your eye open on this and other race forums, they come up for sale every so often.
