WHOA - Better not mount those on an R6 or you are likely to swerve into other bikes then call the other guy a stupid idiot after you crash him out on the high banks.

Has everyone read the DMG press release/spin exercise regarding the fiasco that was the 200 last week?

    http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2011/Mar/110316dmgexpla.htm

I found this quote especially laughable:
" 2) Several of the teams' and riders' strategies involved running the entire race on a single front tire, and thus many participants were absent the back-up rims required for a pit stop tire-change."

How many teams, including the lowliest privateer, don't have a spare set(or multiples) of rims ?
" Ooops, I bent my front wheel in a lowside during practice. Our week here's done. Guess we'll just pack up and drive 3000 miles back to California. We're spending 10k this weekend, but the $300 for a spare pair of rims just wasn't in the budget."
I don't know anyone running 600s competitively at Mission that doesn't have a spare set of rims, I guess we're just at a higher level than AMA Pro Racing...

P.S. Has anyone else noticed the deafening silence from Roadracing World regarding the Chunklop 200?
I thought John Ulrich cared so much about rider safety, and if this doesn't qualify as a safety issue, I don't know what does.
