hey guys and gals, i just brought a bike up from the 'States' to be used on the track only, and apparently if i get a letter from WMRC stating it will be used "in closed-course competition only" they will wave the $200 RIV fee...and they don't even care that i'm at the back of the pack! is this something that the executive could endorse? thanks in advance, nigel
i did one in 2005 and i got customs to take it in as parts only. i didnt have to pay the RIV because it was brought in as a dismantle only. the vin could never be registered. its an idea to try anyway.
Nikola put me onto an '06 675 from Portland that was all set up for the track...we met the guy at Skagit motorsports and they were kind enough to dyno it for a case of local bc brew, very cool! looking forward to next year already... how's your ride coming? any mods over the winter? Nigel, any of us on the Exec can write you a letter for customs. I've done a few in the past for riders. I can write one for you after the Christmas break, or you can ask Jayson, Ryan Welton, Nikola Racunica, or anyone else on council to write it for you.
