Now that the 2010 results are in and final is there any word on which riders will be bumped from Novice to Intermediate and from Intermediate to Expert Status for the 2011 season?
Novices get bumped after a full season AND evaluation from their rider rep next year. Technically top 3 in each intermediate class get bumped to Expert if they are not already. However, that's usually also determined by the exec after the AGM and the riders are informed prior to that. The meeting following the AGM announces the rider bumps.
So far, that's the only 2 confirmed. I'll be meeting with Ken Lalonde to discuss how he feels about other bumps. We've made Ken the "bumper up of riders".
So according to the rules as a Novice I have meet my 6 race days, So in the spring I would have to do a rider evaluation. Why doesn't the rider evaluation happen in the fall, pending having the required race days in??? Then a person could run the first race days as a graduated Novice instead of Intermediate. Then a Novice like myself knows where we are at and be prepared for it in the spring. Thats my 2 cents
i think kenny should bump anybody that might be a threat to me for taking 1st.overall next year.lol you won't be at this point thad.let the trash talk begin.lol.
Novice bumps are not automatic. If you felt you were ready for bump on the last race day, or when you were close to your prerequisites, a novice should always contact their rider rep and request an eval. Ken Lalonde will be primarily responsible for bumping riders this year, so you should be contacting your rep first, and then your rep will contact Kenny.
I will be doing that this spring and I understand that bumping is not automatic. I just would have liked to know this in the fall.
No I didn't but I should have. This is my fault for not being forward with it. I will do what I have to and proceed. Then I can catch up to you and maybe pass you.
