I watched the AMA DSB races from Barber last night. For those who have seen the races, was Eslick was racing Herrin a little "too hard"? Did Eslick cross a line or is it a case of it is impossible to race someone too hard when the championship is on the line? I am curious to hear the thoughts of what racers think.
Check out the World SuperSport race from Imola and tell me if you see any "too hard" racing goin' on there!?......
I know a few people that are/have been AMA racers and they say this: If you give an inch, ONE INCH, the rider behind you is going to go underneath you. Also, a pro racers mentality at that level is that they will do ANYTHING to be faster... for example if there was some magic surgery that if you have your pinky amputated you'd be guaranteed to go faster they would all do it. As for Danny & Josh specifically, I've ridden with Danny at Jason Pridmore's Star School and he is super laid back. There's some bad blood between them at the moment without question.
Moto2 If you think the AMA racing has been too hard check out this pic. Tony Elias, the Moto2 championship leader has had to resort to fitting brake lever guards!
Great races! Loved the finish at Imola and I thought they were both going to grab their bikes and run them to the finish - thankfully they both got them started. Herrin & Eslick - great racing and I thought Herrin was just being a pest and Eslick was schooling him. From what the announcers were saying they thought that there may be some penalties to Eslick? Not sure I agree with that at all as Herrin kept running into Eslick. (and what Spero said) On another note - why did Sellers get the penalty? The way I saw it the #2 bike crashed after him and caused the red flag - Sellers was well off the race line when he crashed - no?
i figured that herrin would have caught on to the move eslick was giving him about after the 4th time... IMO eslick "bumped" him off...
