For anyone not on BCSB: http://superbikeplanet.com/2010/Aug/100829xs.htm I couldn't believe what I was reading. My condolenses go out to the Lenz Family and all his friends. Brian Ens, I am so sorry for your loss. Brian worked very closely with this amazing young man.
It is so sad to see one so talented as Peter was lose his life like this when he had so much life left to live. I have no doubt, though, that those who knew him or even knew of him will never forget him. My sincerest condolences to his family, Brian and Peter's many other friends. RIP, little racer.
I have felt a sickness all day.Tough for me to swallow because of his age. My heart goes out to his folks, family, and close friends. I saw Peter just last weekend at the Portland races. I thought Id go out to turns 7,8,9 and watch him rip it up in practice. He was absolutely flying thru turn 9 on his stock Moriwaki MD250H. He was pitted near me, and end of the day, he was out throwing the frisbee around with Ryan, one of the Dunlop guys. They were having few laughs, just before hitting the road for a few days, on their way to Indy.
Such a shame, God Speed small one. http://peterlenz.org/ http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=41781
