Well, it's going to be tough topping last year, but we will give it a shot! A few thoughts.... I am always on the hunt for prizes, but more non-motorcycle related stuff, things anyone would like. PM me if you have a corporate connection or business that fits the image of BC Children's Hospital. We have Fearless Frank's F2 in the mix, but after last year, we might have to come up with a more modern bike! If the powers to be were to plan the Airfence Party at least 2 weeks after that, maybe 3, then those that can't get away every Sunday for beers could attend both And I can help promote it at the party. Thanks Bernie
We shall see what we can do with the Airfence Party this year Bernie, posting your date this early will help me plan around you so we don't stack everything close together. Let me know if there is anything we can do to help out. Jayson
Looking forward to it Bernie. You know you can count on all the Mid Life crew to drink lots, tell lies and write cheques etc. as usuall. Good on ya mate. How many parties will this make and how much have you raised for the kids so far?
Bernie, Your event is added to the WMRC website calendar, is the location at the Shark Club again? Have you got a start time? Let me know so I can add more detail to the calendar event. cheers! jac
Same as last year, some passes and t-shirts to giveaway, and schedules (and airfence party reminders) on every table. Or walk around and meet and greet everyone with whatever we agree on. If I pull off another racebike giveaway, you could do the licence/first entry deal as well. Mostly I need warm bodies in the seats, same as always Thanks
Thanks James. 11th Annual. WE have raised over $50,000. Last year we actually raised enough to fund getting every kid in that hospital out for a weekend if they were capable. That's the best part. I'd like to arrange a trip to Mission for them this year, with t-shirts, hotdogs, etc.
Thanks Jacalyn. I am waiting for confirmation from the Shark Club. Where ever is , doors usually open at 11am, beer flows at 11:10
Bernie, Consider all of that a done deal. You can make the license/first day race entry fees a deal with or without a race bike to raffle off. Let me know numbers a couple weeks ahead of time and I will work something out for you. Jayson.
So, I have had donated.... 2 tickets to Canucks vs Detroit, in the Griffith's suite (center ice) Ted is also working on hockey tickets Some fancy iPod, way better than the one I have! Thanks Deb. Still working on a bike ;-) I was thinking of doing this years party in honour of Mike Bruce. Not only did he pass away from cancer, but he was always a big supporter of events I did, wether they were WMRC or BCCH. Thoughts????
Good work as always Bernie, your energy and passion for the BCCH cause never ceases to amaze and impress me. I'll be there to support the cause and leave some money behind for the kids, I have a Rear Wheel Chicken Hawk Tire Warmer Used and Autographed by Freddie Spencer for you if you like. It may be of some interest to memorabilia collectors, Let me know and I will get it to you, Have a great Christmas and New Years, see you soon, Enjoy the ride, and best regards, Blair
Troy spoke to Cathy, and she's honoured we will be doing the party in Mike Bruce's honour. I am still looking for a bike, non-motorcycle prizes, and an artist to do the poster, but all seems to be progressing nicely.
