Rule book says open to Expert Riders for both Formula 1.18 and 1.15. Is that an oversight? Should 1.18 state it is open to novices? Anyways, I've entered. Hopefully I can race it.
just want to chime in here. Novices enter one class per race day, afak. Racing a Ninja 300 the primary class would be lightweight supersport. I would be on board to support the motion to allow novices to enter a bracket race in addition to their primary class. I don't think we could implement this rule change by the first race since the rule book updates literally were just completed. fast novice on a 300 is 1:30 ish so 12 seconds under the cutoff, and would be lapped on lap8-9 by someone doin 1:18 flat.
Unless he is riding a formula classic 750 he would be in open novice, two races a day. Vests are required for novices only for their first two WMRC events.
I'll be racing a Ninja 300. If I'm reading the rule book right, I cannot ride in the Novice class as "Machines whose PRIMARY CLASS is...Lightweight Supersport... are restricted to running their respective classes instead of the Open Novice class." I'm also entered in the Lightweight Twins class. @Jay I couldn't find where it says I can only enter one class per race day in the rule book.
I went to pay for my 4 classes for Round 1....noted that there is a cap of $250 including medical...my cart shows $270 after the $40 refund because of a single day race weekend. Anyone clarify for me? thanks Ross
Unfortunately the system can't handle our special pricing conditions. As such we recommend everyone enter as paying by cheque, and then pay at the track. everything will be adjusted then.
