    Promotions:

Jay reminded everyone that now is the time for you to contact your local community paper with your brief bio and some photos. Tell them about what you do, where you live, and give them a 200 word blurb on your racing hobby. Give them something local to write about!
Press releases have been sent to the Mission and Vancouver papers and we hope to see some kind of coverage.
Some misprinted trophies have been corrected and delivered to their recipients.

Thank you to everyone who came out to help with the hay bales! Once the truck arrived things went very quickly and we appreciate your hard work!

Thank you to Canadian Kawasaki for the donation of 3 new tents for our corner marshals! They were much needed and this donation is very much appreciated.

An anonymous donor has stepped forward to sponsor a Women’s trophy class, in response to some recent face book comments about our support and promotion of women in motorcycle racing. The top 3 women points holders will be awarded trophies at our year end awards dinner.

    New Business:
We have recently had to delete offensive comments from both our forums and our face book page. We expect our members to be respectful and refrain from any libel, sexist, homophobic or racist comments and any comments deemed offensive by this executive WILL be deleted immediately. Any repeat offenders will also be blocked from future comments.

A reminder to racers who plan to attend the May 18th Racer Track Day, you MUST register for this through MSR!!!!
Also of note is that now is the time to register for the first few race rounds. Your credit card will not be charged until you check in on race day, but if you do NOT preregister, you will be charged an additional $50 late fee at check in.
NEW RACERS, we encourage you to set up your Motorsport Reg account now, but you cannot actually preregister until you have completed the Race School.

Please be sure to review the 2018 Rulebook. There have been changes made to tech requirements for helmets and oil filters, among other things. REMINDER, all belly pans must be removed from your bike, and brought with you to tech. You will not be teched otherwise.

Please also remember that our new track day schedule takes effect this weekend! Sessions will be on the 15 minute mark every hour, beginning with Slow Racer and continuing with , Fast Racer, Slow Street, Fast Street.

There are no ½ day track days available, please do not show up expecting to only pay for a half day. If you are unable to ride the entire day, the full price will still apply.
Of note, there will be no “check out rides” given this weekend or graduating from novice or graduated novice! We have a very full schedule and any requests for graduation will be deferred until the June 22 track day.

Please also note, your rider rep does not make these rules and is only responsible for your check out ride. The decision to graduate any rider is made by the licensing official and the executive as a whole. If you have any questions regarding the graduation process, please speak to the licensing official, Pam Black

There was some discussion regarding the green track and specifically corners 7, 8 and 9. We have retained a street sweeper to attend track set up on Thursday night to address any concerns in these areas and time willing, the rest of the track.

The executive has made a decision to add the recently purchased timing system to our insurance policy for an additional premium of $400.00

Thank you to GA Checkpoint for the repair of the last pieces of air fence and offering to deliver them to the track for set up on Thursday, May 17th.

We have purchased a new crash truck! Thank you to Allan Hay for sourcing this and your work in making it happen! Thank you also to GIB Motors for making it track worthy!
