Current balance is $11, 410.04. A deposit will need to be made shortly for race dates in the amount of $5500. Brett also advised that there are some outstanding funds to Revenue Canada for past tax returns that were not filed, or filed incorrectly. Amount will be announced as soon as it can be confirmed.

Rob Shoemeyer reported that the rule book committee will be meeting the week after the bike show and the executive requested that there be a report provided at the next meeting on February 9th to update the membership on the progress. Andrew will coordinate with Marbod to have something prepared to present to the exec for review.

The exec feels that due to the retirement of West Coast Superbike School it is important to be aggressive with our presence in the community and to promote as much racing and as many track days as possible. As such we have committed to 6 race dates, 2 race schools, 5 total track days and one ART School. There appears to be a great deal of misinformation circulating, regarding schools and track days. Andrew wanted to clarify that ALL events, race dates, school dates, track days, classroom training, parking lot days, will be WMRC events, with our people and under our “label”. If we do coincide an event with Nancy, it is for the purpose of broadening our exposure.

The WMRC Banner is missing!! If anyone knows the whereabouts, please advise the executive asap as we need it for the bike show. We are also looking for any old posters, videos, photos any members would be willing to loan for the booth at the bike show.
We will be promoting free Taste of Racing and hope to increase attendance by putting posters in places the street riders are frequenting.. We are also interested in welcoming any special interest groups that may be interested in attending and would encourage them to contact the executive to arrange for special gate passes.
George has been approached by a local brewery and they brought up the possibility of a beer garden in return for some promotional money. Our insurance company has some conditions, and the Car club must also be contacted before we proceed with that.
We are working on getting all the information together for the schools to be able to promote and sell at the bike show. A pamphlet is in the works. Steve Addison has agreed to be our School Coordinator and will be point of contact for anything involved with the race school.
There is consideration to having a referral system in place so that if a racer refers someone to take a school or to attend as a spectator, we are planning to offer some kind of bonus/credit to the racer. Details will follow.
There will be a Bike show special on gate passes for the show only, $40 for the annual pass, available to racers as well as spectators. Buy your license at the show, and add your gate pass for the reduced rate!
General meeting location change possibility to be announced. There are 2 venues have offered us their premises with a portion of the money we spend there, going back to the club possibly in the way of our banquet. Decision to be announced as soon as possible.
Scott Borthwick advised that he is finalizing the details and will have Gold Cup information available at the bike show.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:2o by Andrew Marles. Seconded by Kelly Bell.
The next general meeting will be at 7pm on February 9, 2015
