Vancouver BMW reported that they were very happy with their customer appreciation day at our last track day and plan to do the same again next year. Thank you to Rob Schoemeyer for arranging this again this season and for taking time out of your day to make these riders feel welcome, and to assist the BMW group all the way from registration in the morning to getting them on the track. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors this season! Mspeed Performance, SV Racing, Vida Events, WMRC, Pirelli, GIB Motors, JFC Steel, Moto Motion, Expatria, Action Motorcycles. And thank you as well to Ted Shannon in the tower of power and all the club members for stepping up on race days to add to the sponsorships! Ted Shannon also expressed his thanks to the WMRC for a great season. New Business: Congratulations to ALL of our class champions and to Adam Robarts for his Superbike Championship and repeated new track records. We will be replacing the medical forms with medical tags for the 2018 season. These tags will affix to your helmet and the 1st one will be included with your race license fee. If you require a replacement tag during the season there will be a small charge for those. We will be purchasing a new decoder for next season at an estimated cost of $6,000. Ours ceased functioning earlier in the season and the SCCBC graciously allowed us the use of theirs for the remainder of the year. Thank you very much for the generous assistance! Some other anticipated expenses going into next year include air fence repair, new tents for the marshals, some replacement flags and some additional marshal station flag stands. It was also suggested that we investigate the possible installation of a mirror in the turn 6 area as there is a definite blind spot near the air fence in that section. There was an incident earlier in the year where a rider went down in that section and the marshal was not able to see them. Further consideration will be given to this suggestion. Novice Racers – if you are considering submitting a request to bump to graduated novice, please complete your form prior to our last track day in September. You do require a “check out” on a track day and this is the best opportunity to have this done prior to your race season next year. The form can be found on our website or by contacting Pam Black for a copy. We would prefer this to waiting until next season. There was a canopy left in the pits after the last round. If you are missing the canopy to your tent, please contact the executive to claim it. ** A reminder that our Track Day in September is also our last event for the season and we will have a complete track tear down at the end of the day. Please plan to stay for this so that we can get it done as quickly as possible! Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this excellent season! We had great racing, another great operations team and are very grateful to everyone who volunteered their time to make this season so successful. Jason Hanson motioned that the meeting be adjourned at 8pm, seconded by Rob Schoemeyer Minutes submitted by Pam Black.
