Nikola just got back Aprilia and Moto Guzi training in California, and promised me it should be out in 2 or 3 days time. I'll post it up as soon as it's done.

The rules state that only the following modifications can be made:
    ...
8.12 The front fork externals must remain stock. Upper and lower triple clamps must remain stock.
    ...
This isn't a modification, so I assume that the internals can be changed. Does this rule exclude internal changes (springs etc.)?

Yep, what Blair said. You can change spring rates for sure, but it must remain the same tubes.

Same goes for the shock right?
As long as the frame shock mounts aren't modified an aftermarket replacement can be used.

For the rear shock what it actually states in the rules is that you can change the spring, but not the mounts.
No where does it say you can replace the shock body. I'd be careful before I went out and bought a replacement shock.

Hey Nicola I am fine with only the spring on the rear shock. I just want to make sure everyone has a clear understanding of things before they start buying parts that they can't use in the class.
My understanding of the rules is that you can change the internals of the suspension but you can't do ANYTHING to change the external appearance of the suspension.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry to stir the pot but...

Since it is a production class

Why allow non-dot slicks, but not allow a shock replacement?

Perhaps we could reverse those? Allow shock mods and ban slicks.

we usually allow slicks since they *generally* last longer than the DOTs. The Michelin slicks offer so much grip though they are likely to rip the swingarm right off the bike.
