Once Again the WMRC will be hosting rounds 1 and 2 of the Western Canadian Championship.

The Western Canadian Championship consists of 6 rounds of racing. 2 x rounds with the WMRC, in Mission BC. 2 x Rounds with the EMRA, in Edmonton Alberta, and 2 x Rounds with the CMRA in Calgary Alberta.

    The eligible categories are:

    - Pro and intermediate superbike
    - Pro and intermediate heavyweight or open supersport
    - Pro and intermediate middleweight or 600 supersport
    - Battle of the twins (WMRC) / Formula Thunder or open thunder (EMRA and CMRA)

    - Championships will be awarded for the most points accumulated during the WCC rounds at each clubs events.

    - Rulebooks from each host club will be in effect during their WCC rounds

    Rulebooks can be found here:

    WMRC - http://www.wmrc.ca/documents/documents/WMRC Rule Book 2010.pdf

    EMRA - http://emra.ca/Forms/2010_EMRA_Competition_Handbook.pdf

    CMRA - http://www.roadracing.org/upload/media_element/2/09/cmra_2010_rulebook_spreads.pdf

    Dates are as follows:

WMRC May 20-22 (qualifying to be done during Fridays trackday)

EMRA July 15-17 (qualifying to be done on Fridays practice)

CMRA Sept. 17-18 (qualifying to be announced)

This season we will be implementing Qualifying for each double header race as well. Qualifying for the weekend will determine the riders grid position for both Saturday and Sunday races. This will give fair chance to each rider and increase the safety of these events.

If you have any questions, please contact your clubs Representative.

    WMRC - Ryan Whittle
    EMRA - Justin Knapik
    CMRA - Rob Darlington

Let's qualify the BOTT statement a bit for us. Middleweight Twins is still a class, and while Heavyweight Twins never made a class, they are combined and run at the same time in a large class called BOTT. It's still the same structure as last year for twins, only points for the overall results to towards the WCC championship.

I also can't think of a better series to run my RC51 in, if I wouldn't lose points in middleweight twins by not racing the SV. I wish I could clone myself and just run both bikes

Hey, if the 250 class works in Mission and Edmonton + Calgary adopt it can it be part of the WCC?

    ***Additional Information***

Calgary has omitted their Heavyweight Supersport class from the grid. Instead the CMRA has 2 Superbike races per day. That means that the 1st Superbike race of the day will count towards the WCC OPEN SUPERSPORT CLASS. The second superbike race of the day will count towards the WCC SUPERBIKE.

The rules for both of these races will follow the CMRA superbike rulebook. Link is located in the first post.

I am looking to pre-register for next round (the wcc). Is there anything different about registration because of the WCC?
