For those getting their bike ready for the coming season, I thought I'd post this from the AMB Manual: Strength or hits on some or all transponders are low When the signal strength is pretty consistent (within 10 points or so) but is low, this indicates that the transponder is not properly mounted. The transponder needs to be mounted within 2 ft. of the track with no metal or carbon fiber between the track and the transponder. There needs to be sufficient space around the transponder. The transponder cannot be affixed with metal wire or hose clamps, since that will reduce the signal coming out of the transponder significantly. Hope this helps.
