We're still working on it, but it's a strong possibility it'll be the same as Michelin is offering this year.
One thing that Pirelli ,compared to Shinko ,will be offering this year in much greater numbers is traction.
Ok maybe I'm missin the joke but I would really like to know what the hell is goin on with tire contingency for this shortened season. I was told that there is something similar to what was offered last year for the WCC with Pirelli in Edmonton. Are we going to be offered that deal in mission this year? Is Michelin not offering contingency this year?? Any information on this subject would be greatly appreciated not only for me but I'm sure alot of other guys would like to know. Thanx
I think you guys need to take the lack of announcements and read that they are speaking VOLUMES of information. Note, that tire manufacturers and anyone else who offers contingency, usually offers it to a region, not a race series. For example, last year, Michelin offered it to all official race organizations within North America. The year before that, Michelin was still North America and Pirelli was also North America. Before that, it was Pirelli Canada, etc. Clint McBain, offered personal contingency in Edmonton last year. That was not official pirelli contingency. You'll also note that Clint is not doing Pirelli tires there this year either. Scott Paras is doing it this year.
